Claims Verification and Establishing Liability
Pinkerton commences an investigation immediately
instructions are received, which will normally be before
any claim is made against a client's insurers. This
will allow evidence to be collected at an early stage
in order to identify the area of liability. Any delay
of the investigation makes the chances of a recovery
less likely. A factual report detailing the full circumstances
of the loss is subsequently submitted which assists
any loss conciliation for insurance companies who provide
cover for freight handlers and operators.
HM Customs & Excise and Police Liaison
Pinkerton always works closely with all
governmental law enforcement and revenue agencies involved
and we maintain a close liaison with departments who
have a responsibility within the air freight industry.
Regular contact is also maintained with security managers
within the airline concerned and the air cargo industry
as well as road haulage companies.
Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers and Health & Safety
Advisers
Pinkerton can also furnish the services
of fully qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers and
Health and Safety experts. This is a complete safety
service available to all warehouse operators and freight
forwarders.
Warehouse Security Surveys
Warehouse security surveys are conducted by senior Pinkerton
personnel with experience in all aspects of security,
including manned guarding, CCTV, access control systems
and asset tagging. We examine existing security measures
and advise on the systems efficiency and whether upgrading
or complete renewal is required. A comprehensive report
is subsequently submitted to the client. Further discussions
usually then take place with the client to establish
a plan for the implementation of the recommendations
made.
Customer Validations
Customer validation examinations
are undertaken by Pinkerton investigators in accordance
with The Aviation Security (Air Cargo Agents) Regulations.
This assists the client to handle their customers' freight
as "known cargo".
